I mean, we do not ask divorcing couples to send the gifts back that they got, so why should they be sent if the wedding is cancelled?

my fiance and i postponed the wedding 3 weeks before the huge day (we need to work through some things before we make the commitment). The cancellation announcements will be sent out tomorrow, however we have already gotten many gifts in the mail and at showers. Do we need to return the gifts? we still have plans of gettng married we just dont’ have a date yet.
