As a wedding guest, donating the money to charity would not help me. I’d still be upset I was out the money. What does Miss Manners say?
Also, if you inexplicably make a profit on your wedding, then divorce two months later, who gets the money?

Why do married Marines never wear their wedding rings?
I’m not speaking about ALL of course…but all the married Marines I have ever seen never wear their wedding rings..
Like all the recruiters at my RSS are married but they never wear their wedding rings in the office, or at pt, or at pool functions…and I see my recruiter nearly each day and they never wear their wedding rings…
are you not supposed to wear them during work or something? just curious
i’m basically speaking about my recruiters and the recruiters at all the other RSS’s in our area…i’m not speaking about Marines in combat

I was wondering why on the left hand and why on the ring finger for wedding rings. I heard the left hand had to do with being closer to the heart or because most people are right handed but what which one is true? What about the ring finger?

What do you think about people counting their wedding gifts? You know, to see who did not give or was “cheap”
The day after their wedding, my brother and his new wife sat down and went through all their wedding gifts/cards and compared them with the guest list.
They basically made note of what everyone gave (for thank you cards).
Since then, they have been speaking to us (immediate family: me, my sis, dad, mom, etc.) and complaining about who did not give them a gift and who gave only $ 50, (our cousin, for example) etc.
What do you think about that? Is that kind of behavior normal, acceptable and generally expected, or is that completely ridiculous and rude? Something in between?

They basically believe that since the wedding was expensive, the gift should reimburse them. They did state it could depend on the person’s means, tho. To their credit — they stated it’s cool for a single person to maybe gift $ 50. But they stated an established middle class couple should double that.

Have you or do you know someone who has grown their own wedding flowers?
We are getting married in the spring and we wanted gerbera daisies at first. But we are trying to spend as tiny as possible and still make it pretty. We are wanting it to feel and look like an old fashioned country wedding with a small old church and just a few people.
What would be the easiest flowers to grow in pots ourselves that would be ready for slicing in April? Oh, and they have to make a 500 mile trip. lol

My brother just purchased his wife a new wedding ring, and she posted photos on facebook bragging about it. Her friends are saying she deserves it. I do not think she does, and it pisses me off. Do I really have a reason to be mad?
